One of the Best traveling places in India. Ladakh is in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. Leh is the largest town in Ladakh, followed by Kargil.

How to reach Ladakh

·       The nearest airport to Ladakh is Kushok Bakula Rimpoche in Leh only 3.8 km from the main city. Many cabs are available from the airport to the main city. Leh is well connected by flight with the other main major cities in India. From Delhi (daily), Chandigarh, Jammu, Srinagar there is a number of direct flight.

·        Nearest railway station is Jammu Tawi. Which is well connected with other major cities in India. But this is around 708 km away from Ladakh. From Jammu Tawi either bus or Cab will take around 15 hours.

·        Two major roads which head toward Ladakh are Srinagar to Ladakh through Zoji La pass (around 434km) & Manali to Ladakh through Rohtang pass (around 490km). Manali to ladakh by road is famous for its amazing scenic beauty.

Best time to visit Leh Ladakh

May to September is the best time to visit Ladakh. All roads and passes are open during this time. Manali to Leh the amazing road trip could be enjoyed more.
October to March will be too cold (temperature below 7 degrees or less even reach below 1 degree) over there. Every year avalanche warning issue happen in Leh and Ladakh.

1.    Camel Safari in a double-humped camel, this camel are known as Bactrian Camel.
2.    River Rafting through Indus river and Zanskar river.

·       There are certain places which require entry permits. Make sure you have all the entry permits before you visit. Usually, these are easy to get if you are traveling through a Travel agent. They will arrange it all.
·        International tourist needs to complete the registration process especially those who are traveling by road.
·        Carry your identity proof as there are several military checkpoints
·         Physical fitness and flexibility are must as this is too high altitude. Many tourists felt shortness of breath due to the oxygen level.
·        Carry medicines for stomach ache, headache, fever, vomiting, diarrhea for unforeseen scenarios
·        Carry cash with you as ATMs are available only near Leh market areas. Most of the transactions are done by cash.

·        Food and water cost is high compared to plain land.
